[tei-council] xml:space= -- harmful to our health? (was "Re: comments on ST")

I don't really give a monkeys about xml:space :-}

 I agree that
it's highly unlike to be used; I also think its highly unlikelable
anyone will not use the TEI on the grounds of shameful
laxity in allowing it in.

what I _do_ care about is that we _don't_ bring
up old debates a week before a deadline....
