Seems to me this is exactly the type of decision we decided to delegate
to James and Dot.

I liked the original way they had it, but thought the use case suggested
that people weren't understanding what the pilcrow meant (I hadn't
realised some of us had shares in pilcrow PLC ;-). But James and Dot are
both widely knowledgeable about developing webstyle in the area, and I'm
happy to leave it in their hands: pilcrows, hashmarks, pluses or
whatever, left or right, orange or grey.

I think the issues are clear enough and they've been doing a great job.
