three technicalities:
a) the content model of <surface> is
<rng:zeroOrMore>
<rng:choice>
<rng:ref name="model.graphicLike"/>
<rng:ref name="zone"/>
</rng:choice>
</rng:zeroOrMore
which allows <surface><graphic/><zone/><graphic/></surface>. That is what
is intended? not to make you have _either_ graphic _or_ zone?
b) having split @box into 4 separate attributes, we should either
find a way (Schematron rule, I suppose, or words at least) to say
that if one occurs all must occur, or define what it means if some
are missing. Similarly, a Schematron rule to say that ulx must be less
than lrx would be sensible.
c) camelCase rules suggest @ulX instead of @ulx, no?
