I agree we should. Even splitting @box into to distinct points (x,y) would make calculation (if not datatyping) easier. But I would vote for separate attributes for all values (i.e. 4 attributes to specify the 2 corners of the bounding box). I'm not too fussed about what they're called, though I know that the "llx"-style is conventional in PostScript at least.
