[tei-council] fully-licensed images of manuscripts

It would make life easier if the TEI Guidelines were able
to use images of manuscripts which have unlimited
licenses (ie NOT with a "Non-Commercial" clause).[1]
Do any of you know where we can find such things?
We need some pictures of manuscripts which are
comprehensible to ordinary mortals (ie not in Greek or
Anglo-Saxon), and which exhibit common features
like crossing-out, illegible, etc etc.
Alternatively, a printed book with pictures which is out of
copyright would so as well.
[1] unless you want to re-open the debate of whether
the Guidelines should follow open-source licensing...
