I am glad to say that I have finally identified the problem with 
term/@target which has
been plaguing us; I don't have a solution yet, but I know where to look.

If I can't solve this tonight, I shall probably scream so loudly
you'll hear me in Berlin; on the other hand, after almost
eveyrthing you can imagine going wrong in the last few
days, today has seen several things go right, so I have hopes.

I am really pleased to see Eva R getting to grips with the
sources,  very positive stuff.
