[tei-council] Gentle intro updated

As promised earlier (in "a few days", hmm), I am pleased to announce 
that I have now finished a major rewrite of the "Gentle Introduction to 
XML" chapter of the Guidelines.

The draft is checked into SF at the usual place, and there is also a 
printable PDF for your reading pleasure at 
http://www.tei-c.org/Drafts/FASC-SG.pdf

This revision reflects primarily  the action placed on me to get rid of 
all the DTD specific material, but I've taken the opportunity to rework 
a lot of the rest as well, bringing it a bit more up to date in line 
with its primary function of giving the novice reader just enough 
technical information to stand a chance of understanding the rest of the 
Guidelines, but certainly no more.

I would much appreciate notification of any typos, blunders, materials 
omitted or egregious nonsense Council members care to identify before 
posting it more widely.
