like on memberOf, you mean?

should @key stay on some object things? I find

   <persState ref="#SCHOL">
        <label>scholar</label>
      </persState>

slightly weird.  I'd rather have that as

   <persState key="SCHOL">
        <label>scholar</label>
    </persState>

personally. its more like your POS stuff, no?
