Well, I am with Syd here, why don't we change @key on the <memberOf> 
stuff (pointing to @ident) and leave key as it is, with its double face 
as either URL or database key.  For the name for the new attribute, I 
have no preferences, but @target seems to suggest a @xml:id at the other 
end in most cases, so I think we should rather use something else.
