Well, this claim was what got  Wendell Piez
frothing at the mouth earlier in the year. He
stands for a group of people which wants
the freedom to hack generated schemas
and resents the TEI high moral attitude
about ODD. Personally, I find it easier
to make the claim than describe the alternatives.

I think this is a really good thing to jump up
and down about. Make people see that there
is a difference between making new objects which
could be expressed using TEI high-level constructs,
and those which really add something new.
