Before I go on holiday, a last thought on the "towards 1.0" document. I
think the content
is basically correct (_pace_ the discussions of the last week), but what
is missing
is a formal workplan, with deadlines, deliverables and resource
allocation. To take
just one example, the reviewing of each chapter needs to be allocated to
a specific
time period and a specific person; and dependencies need to be noted.
Without
this, it is hard to judge progress or know where to commit extra resources
to get a task back on schedule.
Sorry if that sounds trite, but I do feel that writing, and publishing,
such a schedule will be hugely beneficial. It would also provide us,
of course, with the roadmap which we could show to the TEI Board and
TEI members, since the schedule would reasonably cover the coming
12 months.
