A rather cursory scan of lowest fares available on travelocity.com for
the period May-Jun next year showed prices around $1000 for routes
BWI-KIX and JFK-KIX. Also JFK-CDG at around $500. Both JFK-LHR and
BOS-LHR are around $400
However, I think we agreed in thetelecon that our preference would be to
go for Kyoto unles the costs turned out to be really silly. Which they
don't seem to be so far.
Interestingly for Conall, I see that the best fare Auckland to
Washington NZ air offers is just under 3000 NZD, while there is a direct
flight to KIX for a paltry 2000 NZD. (But I don't know what the NZD is
worth)
