Really, I don't think this is wise. Define a separate datatype
for "isodateformat", and let people change to that if they want.
Add an extra attribute called "@isodate" or something.
But adding "oh and practically anything else" at the end of a list of
datatypes from an external source just does not seem right.
What do others think?
