When we started doing calls, it was in the area of 5000 Yen (~65 US)
per call, but with the dropping telecom costs, I think I am down to about
the same amount as the one reported by Edward. Still, that would be
in the area of 300 EUR for all participants per call, with 6 calls per
year about 1800 EUR to put in the budget.

It looks like to us the cost of calls is a minor factor, the technical
quality seems more important to me. (I am working with Syd offlist
towards an improvement here, since apparently it has to do with
specific equipment).

All the best,

Christian
