I am interested in feedback about the layout, because this is more or
less now the default of my stylesheets;
even if the TEI C does better in due course, I want my stylesheets to
produce something plausible now.

I regard this as a placeholder for the next 6 months; I don't want to
pressurize Virginia to do a complete rethink
a lot faster than that, but equally I don't want to leave things as they
are.

I was copying things like
http://www.oucs.ox.ac.uk/ltg/reports/plag_index.xml; do you find that
better? is
this a matter of colours?

I encourage any of you who are comfortable with CSS to grab a copy of
one of the pages as HTML,
get the CSS from /stylesheets/teic.css and experiment with colours and
spacing.
