The cosmological notion of the ER as Repetition of the Other does not
contradict Nietzsche's theory of active and reactive forces, and of the
will to power as their differential element. Lambda C has demonstrated
this much ignored fact to this unfortunate list, even though there were
no shooters capable of matching its Full Metal Jacket. The error of
Laplace was to confuse the irreduceability of the past with the openness
of the future (all the stupidity of mechanistic materialism and
deterministic materialism goes along with this absurdity). Your error
is in reducing Nietzsche's concept of the eternal recurrence to its
first notion as Repetition of the Same: this is a mystical disease,
_circularitis_, ultimately an Asiatic myth derived from the Great Year
of the equinoctial precession. But such commonplace is not where
Nietzsche's thought ends up. That is the accepted lie of academics and
professional bullshitters, such as you can find by the bucketful on this
list.

As for your notion that consciousness is just atoms bumping one another,
"coz things couldn't happen any other way" - and whether you are Turk or
Martian it matters little, we have news for you: every animal has the
consciousness that it deserves, but there is more to the universe than
meets the atom, that fiction of ignorant scientists. For science
considers as mysterious both mass and charge. What then do they know
about matter? Lambda C has laughed many a time with the Bertozzi
experiment.

Lambda C in reasonably good humour.

"He who has not passed through different convictions, but remains in the
belief in whose net he was first captured, is on account of this
unchangeability under all circumstances a representative of _retarded_
cultures" (HATH, Man Alone with Himself, 632)
