I disagree. At least W. Kaufmann in his book chapter 12 annotation 13 gives
a, to put it delicately, negative judgement concerning Danto's book, states
that the argumentation of Danto is of an almost incredible low level, e.g.
his translation of passages is in K.'s opinion full of desperate faults; he
thinks his whole interpretation as to be untenable and his method far away
from scientific demands. I tried it once, nevertheless, but was forced to
give it up after some pages because I was not able to stand it any longer.
