F. E.Castelli,
although I would not dare to name him a mere scholar but a wonderful
interpreter, one of the best intruductions into Nietzsche's work as a whole I
ever read is written by an U.S. author who died, much too early, 1980. It's
Walter Kaufmann (1921-1980), who for a longer period of time teached on
Princeton-University, and was als a congenial translater of many of
Nietzsche's works. I turned over the leaves of his 'Nietzsche. Philosopher,
Psychologist, Antichrist', Princeton, New Jersey 1974, again lately, and I
appreciate it more and more every time I read it afresh. In the bibliography
of this book other U.S. authors are mentioned.
