7th ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE SOCIETY

NIETZSCHE AND THE GERMAN TRADITION
University of St. Andrews, 5th to 8th September 1997

The conference will be held in Hamilton Hall, St Andrews, which overlooks S=
t
Andrews Bay and the 18th green of the Old Course. The residence has 48
single and 26 twin rooms (max. 100 participants), which will be allocated o=
n
a `first-come, first-served' basis.

The cost is =A3130.00 (registration fee of =A313.00, plus =A3117.00 for 3 n=
ights'
full board & lodging and a conference dinner on the evening of Saturday 6th
September).

TRAVEL

Air Nearest airport is Edinburgh. Car-hire facilities at airport; otherwis=
e
airport bus to centre of Edinburgh (Waverley station) and then by rail to
Leuchars. Participants from outside Europe should note that Glasgow or
Prestwick airports are more accessible. From there, either hire a car or
transfer by airport bus to Glasgow city centre and take a train to Edinburg=
h
(Waverley) and thence to Leuchars.

Rail Nearest station is Leuchars (4 miles away) on the London (King's
Cross) - Edinburgh - Aberdeen main line. St Andrews can be reached by taxi
or by service bus (which runs every 20 mins. between 9am & 6pm).

Road
(a)=09From south, cross Forth Road Bridge and proceed north along M90 to
junction 3, then by A92 and A91 to St Andrews.
(b)=09From Glasgow and south-west, go east along M8 to Forth Road Bridge an=
d
then follow directions under (a) above.
(c)=09From north-west, take M90 from Perth, then by A913 via Cupar to St An=
drews.
(d)=09From north via Dundee, cross Tay Road Bridge on A92 and after 1 mile
take the A919 to Leuchars and A91 to St Andrews.
