    Fortune In Men's Eyes
    by Stew Albert

Is there some sort of hard luck
    connected to George Bush?
    In his reign:
    The Twin Towers explodes
    and
    democracy declines
    and
the first Israeli in outer space
    burns up
    over
    Texas.
    Poor guy.
    He had better luck
    when he bombed
    Saddams's nuclear reactor.
    He told his brother
that driving a car in Israel
is more dangerous than space travel.
    He was right.
    Are we
    cursed
    by association
    with Dubya?

    Bush has
    a bullies luck.
    When he gains
    everyone else
    loses.
    His wealth makes you poorer.
    His power makes you weaker.
    His fame makes you anonymous.
His religion makes you an atheist.
    His thirst drains your soul.

    How will
    war with Iraq
    play out?
    It will make you
    poorer
    weaker
    and
    soulless.
    Think of the coming funerals
    for that sad crew
    as
    your
    very own.
    Mourn your own misfortune
    to have lived
    under
    Texas rules!
