    Associated Press

Jurors were expected to begin considering Monday a death sentence or
life imprisonment for H. Rap Brown, the former 1960s black power radical
found guilty of murdering a sheriff's deputy. During the weeklong
penalty phase, prosecutors will urge jurors to sentence Brown, now a
Muslim spiritual leader known as Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin, to death.
