I recommend Hearts and Minds as a 60s film.
It's an antiwar documentary about Vietnam and won the academy award for the best documentary of 1974.
One of the narrators is Randy Floyd, who was a Marine pilot in Vietnam and later joined VVAW. For his testimony at the Vietnam War Crimes Hearings go here:

Randy and I were arrested along with 38 other protesters for "trespass" at Tinker AFB in the course of an antiwar demonstration on May 4, 1972. We also served prison time for it.
