Wavy Gravy is a bona fide American legend. Poet, activist and clown, Wavy,
born Hugh Romney was given the name by B.B. King during the Texas Pop
Festival of 1970. During the late Sixties he became an anti-war activist and
established a commune called the Hog Farm. The Hog Farm achieved fame at
Woodstock in 1969 with Wavy as emcee, where the group cared for and fed the
multitudes, setting the spirit of the event. Since then he has become a
world-class environmentalist, FUNdraiser for the Seva Foundation and American
Indian rights activist. He's also a Ben & Jerry's frozen dessert from which
proceeds fund the Camp Winnarainbow Scholarship Fund, which sends children
from low income families to his circus and performing arts camp in Northern
California. Funny, bright and outspoken, Wavy is utterly tireless in his
efforts to create a better world.

Seva Foundation is non-profit international service organization dedicated to
relieving suffering through health and development programs ranging from eye
clinics in the Himalayan nations, to agrarian self-sufficiency projects in
Latin America, to groundbreaking health and community building projects among
    Native Americans in the U.S.
