This weekend I learned of an extraordinary reunion being planned for
Jackson, MISS in June - the 40th anniversary of the original Freedom
Ride. The biggest problem seems to be to track down the 300+ people who
served in Parchman together (a baaad maximum security prison down there,
but the source of great recollections). If you know anybody who was a
freedom rider, or perhaps any organizational people who are interested in
