    List members are invited to read my personal
    historical memoir about the 1970 Kent State
    crisis at the University of Oklahoma. In the
    midst of this, the Governor mobilized a National
    Guard unit and sent them to Norman to invade
    the campus, but OU President Herb Holloman
    was able to successfully resist the Governor's
    bloody plans. The memoir is unfinished and
    subject to refinement, but there is still
    quite a bit of material. The part about
    Maggie Gover's encounter with Frank Kirk
    needs to be modified:
