As we prepare for tomorrow's "inauguration" I keep thinking "1933, Germany".
It's not that Gore was much less so, or that election theft (in the narrow or
the general sense) is new, but that this time it's open, known, generally
recognized, and yet..."In your face, folk, go ahead and protest"--with little
minor problems like pre-emptive arrests, DC "checkpoints", etc. (and as of
this writing--Friday afternoon--who knows what the "etc." may be?) The
"arrest" process is likely as dinosaur as the "vote" process, kiddies, as you
should know, and remember, those who cannot think outta these old boxes can
get "housed" [anothr fading concept] in the new, which are quite small. Or
as someone said, what's Bu$h's idea of culture? watching "Dynasty." Have to
go make my "Bye bye democracy" armband now.
