Black Panther Party 35th Year Reunion and Conference Update. The BPP
Conference will be held on October 11-14, 2001 in Washington DC at Howard
University Law School. The focus will be on Cointelpro, political
prisoners, organizing tools and strategies. Panel and workshop
participants include Kathleen Cleaver, Bobby Seale, gernonimo ji jaga,
Safiya Bukhari, Nzinga Conway and Akua Njeri (Deborah Johnson).
An art display featuring work by Emory Douglas, Minister of Culture of
the BPP and world-reknowned artist, wil be on exhibit. Historical photos
of the BPP by Stephen Shames, now on exhibit at Univ. of CA, Berkeley
through Jan. 19, will also be on display.
We would also like to put together a display of BPP memorabilia and are
asking anyone who has photos, newspapers or other historical items which
