The War is Over demo was Phil's idea. He sold Jerry Rubin on it and the two
of them organized it together. It was pure Yippie. Then Phil wrote a song
whose key line was "I declare the war is over -- it's over." A great song it
was. As for David Peel I think he may be the true parent of punk - I know
