I have been associated with Joe (aka) Country Joe McDonald for over 40
years and have worked with him on various projects over that time frame.
Currently we are working together on a book about his life - this is a work
in progress which is close to completion. You can see sample Chapters on
www.countryjoe.com - there will be a new Chapter up each month.

As a new member of the list I have been keeping up on the posts with great
interest for the past few weeks as much of the conversation is relevant to
    material in the book.

I have been a front line educator with the San Francisco Public Schools
since 1966. During the period 1967-1973 I was deeply influenced by the San
Francisco music explosion of the period and became a rock band manager of
three bands who played many important gigs and Benefits of all types in the
Bay Area and Oregon during that time.

If any members of the list have comments or suggestions for me as to what
you would like to see in the book or even suggestions about potential
Publishers I would love to hear from you.
