You are right, William, except that many of us were raised in a
Judeo-Christian morality in which a major commandment is "Thou shalt not
kill, see footnotes," and the footnotes were a long list of exceptions
to the rule. And once you get into the killing machine there are the
friendly rabbis and pastors all decked out in holy array to tell you why
killing is OK.
