    The Diggers were an anarchist group based in San Francisco that
    provoked & challanged the establishment & the counterculture during the 60's.

    BTW, have a you ever read "Great Expectations: America and the Baby Boom
    Generation by Landon Y. Jones?
    It's out of print now, but I first read it when I was 14 & was fascinated
    by its insights.
