It's a Bacharach tune, if I'm not mistaken, and he wasn't particularly
given to political themes--even subliminal ones--in his lyrics, but I
suppose it's possible.

Aretha's version is a good one, but like most Bacharach, Dionne Warwick
captures it the best... IMO, anyway.
