There is a concept in the "recovering" community which I would like to
commend to this list: "...principles before personalities...."

In this context, I would suggest that rather than discussing who "sold out"
and who didn't, that we focus rather on the issues that are raised. For
instance, instead of describing the personality of Jerome Pratt, either pro
or con, one might discuss the significance of the Black Panther Party or
the role of Cointelpro, etc. If we focus on issues rather than people, I
believe we will be both more effective and less personally offensive.
