I am trying to put together a list of people killed or permanently injured as
a result of the suppression of the civil rights/anti-war/black liberation
movements. I would include in this list people killed by terrorist groups such
as the KKK for example Chaney, Goodman, Schwerner, by red squads with the help
of the FBI such as Fred Hampton and Mark Clark in Chicago, or by state
troopers/national guard as at Kent State, Jackson State or Orangeburg. For
many of these killings I have numbers killed but no names. To my knowledge
such a list has never been compiled. I have run across a reference to 28
members of the Black Panthers being killed as a result of the FBI's COINTELPRO
and another reference saying that the number is incorrect. Any information
would help.
