Love your ideas, Tom. For the setting in which I teach, American
studies/popular culture may very well be the answer to both the marketing
and curricular restrictions I've been concerned about.

Maybe a good follow-up question to the list is, are any of you teaching
'60s under the rubric of American Studies or Popular Culture? If so, what
texts are you using?
