As for Tom Denton's query about literary anthologies of '60s work, that's
a good one. I'd be interested to know if anyone's found anything. I
certainly haven't.
Tell me, you all (anyone who has an opinon), what is your estimation of
the future of '60s courses? I am the only person in my institution who's
interested in such courses, and I wonder if others of you are feeling like
the Lone Ranger at your own institutions.
One reason I ask is that I'm curious about how much of a market you all
see for the continued publication of book-length works on the '60s and/or
anthologies of '60s writings. That literary anthology Tom asks about, for
instance. As a list, we ought to be able to come up with a wonderful
collection of titles which some of our publishers or agents might find
attractive. If anyone's interested in working on such a project and thinks
there would be a market for it by the time it could be put together, I'd
like to hear from you.
