Sixties Folk,

I'm pleased to announce that there will definitely be a Fourth
(not-quite-annual) Sixties Generations conference, to be held
in Tucson, Arizona in November, 1998. The exact dates will be
established in the next few days, but it will probably be the
first or second week in November. I hope, with this conference,
that we'll be back on track and can return to our regular
annual scheduling. Official calls for papers will go out
shortly.

If you're interested in assisting with conference organization,
please contact me. I'm looking for people interested in
working with me to solicit proposals and organize sections on
the following topic areas: Civil Rights Movement, Nationalist
Movements, Fine Arts, Women's Liberation (Leah Hackleman, are you
out there?), Environmental Movement, International Liberation
Movements, Student Movements. We'll continue, of course, to
cover the Viet Nam War, the antiwar movement, popular culture,
etc., but I'd like some energetic volunteers who are willing to
devote time and energy to expanding our coverage in the above
listed areas, where we've traditionally been weaker.

Suggestions are, of course, welcome.
