This on-line archival collection features transcribed texts and
scanned images of over 40 articles, pamphlets, flyers, and booklets
published from 1969 to 1974 which reflect the diversity of theory
and activities characterizing the early years of the U.S. Women's
Liberation Movement. Also included is the original manuscript
minute book of DAR II, a local activist group in Atlanta, Georgia.
This site provides easy access to significant movement literature
which is often hard to find today. We hope that making these
materials more widely available will help facilitate research and
teaching related to this important era of women's history and
culture.
The web site was developed as a collaborative project between staff
of the Special Collections Library's Digital Scriptorium and
Women's Archives and faculty at Duke and two other universities.
We invite you to explore this and the other digitized research
resources available at the Special Collections Library's web site.
