Greetings,

My name is Amy Stevens and I am a new moderator for the Sixties List. I
am currently finishing my dissertation at Boston College. My thesis
explores issues of democracy, anarchy, communitarianism, gender and
sexuality in the Pionner Valley of western Massachusetts during the 1960s.
Marshall Bloom, founder of the Liberation News Service and Montague Farm,
serves as a guide into the Valley and into the ideas activists wrestled
with in their attempts to create "the new age."

I also work for Boston College in their Information Technology department
and I am very excited about doing history "0n-line".

I joined the Sixties List several years ago and have been a faithful
lurker. When I saw the post calling for moderators, I thought this would
be one way of furthering computer usage in the academic world.

I look forward to reading your posts. If you have any questions about my
research or my work, please feel free to contact me at stevenam@bc.edu.
