You make the Viet Nam war sound like a football game. You also
denigrate the people of Viet Nam by referring to them as peasants.
Check out the University of Virginia website for the news that the
army of North Viet N= am was well trained and well equipped by its
communist allies. I have worke= d for several years with refugees
from Viet Nam, and found them to be intelligent and sophisticated
people.

I am old enough to remember the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, with
the destruction of our fleet there. I also listened with chagrin to
the reports of the fall of Bataan and Corregidor. But after 1945,
when the =93rising sun=94 had set, we no longer dwelled on those
losses. Today, a= fter the demise of the Soviet Union, the Burgeoning
capitalism in China, and t= he drift into capitalism or starvation in
the other communist states, I no longer dwell on the loss of South
Viet Nam. I certainly do resent the treatment of the brave Americans
and Vietnamese who fought so bravely in that war.
