FW: A lost song

I'm trying to find the name and artist for a song that I heard a long, long
time ago. I believe it was issued during the period between 1966 and 1969.
The song has a somewhat jazzy feel to it (almost like the Youngbloods). The
male singer almost sing/whispers the words. The words as I recall included
the following phrases:

"now you are walking on the shore...to wonder
the more you learn the less you know
the more you go to no where
you ask the bird as she flies by
just where she's at
she says where the wind blows
ask her by that what does she mean
she says she doesn't know and as she flies away
she seems to say to love is the wind
where blows my love
where blows the wind
the wind is my love."

I would be most grateful.
