Dear Friends,

A student not from my department came to me with the request
made below and I found for her the article she refers to. She clearly
needs more. I second her appeal. She can be reached b/c at
mlewis@bernie.ngc.peachnet.edu or through me.

Hello!

My name is Tess Lewis. I am researching the topic of protest songs
of the sixites for a course paper. I have Barbara Tischler's books
and a singular article by a Kenneth Bindas which suggests that
writers of such songs were in it for the money! The evidence
presented in support of this argument is very weak, but it is the only
source directly addressing the issue of the protest music of the
sixties I could find. I would greatly appreciate any sources you
might suggest that I might persue further on my own.

Thanks!

Tess.
