Due to the large number of requests to list books wanted or for sale
on the newsgroup (prohibited by the Charter), the moderators or SHWV
have decided to add this Book Exchage Page to the website. This page
will offer a number of services.
There are two bulletin board type pages, "Wanted To Buy" and "For
Sale". Readers can post messages to either of these pages by senting
the appropriate posting to the newsgroup request address:
vietnam-request@panix.com. The messages will then be posted to the
Book Exchange. Examples of how to write these announcements are on the
pages. The Moderators of SHWV in no way endorse nor guarantee these
announcements, nor are there any commissions. Our sole purpose is to
provide a forum for the exchange or sale of Vietnam / Indochina Wars
related material. Buyers and sellers should, therefore, exercise the
same cautions one would use in responding to any such offering on the
Web or Usenet.
We are also providing links to established book sellers that have
on-line catalogs of Vietnam related books and / or conduct book
searches for out of print material. Any transactions resulting from
these links are subject to the conditions set by the individual book
sellers.
