Re Dick Crepeau's inquiry about 60s photos. When I was gathering photographs
to include in my book, I went through the photo sections of innumerable 60s
books. Off-hand I don't remember a specific one that was particularly rich,
but this was a pretty good method of tracking down compelling photos (if
that's what you're doing, Dick, I can share my subsequent experiences re.
permissions, etc. with you). Do you know Mitchell Goodman's Movement for
(toward?) a New America? Full of wonderful photos, graffiti, articles, lines
of poetry, etc. --a true "collage" of the 60s.
