Ron Silliman's description of organizational continuity and change in the
sixties/seventies in the Bay Area rather fits my own recollections, at least
for the late sixties. What's not mentioned, and I think was rather
important, was the work of Union W.A.G.E. and other women's (and, over time,
ethnic, disabled, adoptees, etc.) groups, and how their
development/separation affected the developments of/since the 1980s. A giant
topic, I know, but perhaps somehow this list can discuss and develop some
ways to again effect Left change....
