Thanks for your response. I don't know what to think, either. My older son,
well raised etc., is politically conscious and, despite cynicism/despair re
changing anything, does the good progressive action when the choice demands
it. My younger son, who's 18 and just graduated h.s., grew up with me in
harsh circumstances, has had lots of bad breaks, poor schooling, no extended
family or Dad around, etc. - and has good progressive views but is likely to
react rather retributively and certainly watches huge numbers of
cops/space-horror/etc. television/videos.
I think we tend to underrate the effects of those television/videos. As
of comic books on our own development. Not all the effects being bad.
Your young friend Bill apparnetly does need some sort of wake-up call, I
agree.
Well, I'm writing from work so have to cut this off. But I think the
issue's rather important, yeh.
