I know Hugh Romney (Wavy Gravy) a tiny bit from my years in Berkeley,
where, as far as I know he still lives. I last saw him a year ago at a
memorial service in People's Park and is still with the Hog Farm. I don't
know about the communal life now, but he really hasn't changed. Still does
international work - founded Seva, I think, which works to help third-world
countries dealing with diseases that cause blindness (someone correct me if
I'm wrong) and still I think has Camp Winnarainbow every year.
Charles is right - he's a warm, dynamite person, very giving, very real.
I admire the heck out of him. If you're anywhere near the bay area, he
shouldn't be hard to find and he's very very approachable.
