I'm sure that there's material in the various books on the Free
Speech Movement- and you've probably checked Bill Rorabaugh's book BERKELEY
AT WAR - which cites some material on civil rights in the bibliography -
esp. on education and fair housing issues - isn't there material in Elaine
Brown's A TASTE OF POWER as well? anyway, a few thoughts for the moment -

The Taniment Library at NYU(located in the Bobst) maintains an archives
of alternative publications. Check out the Bell and Howell microfilms of
the underground (or alternative) press syndicate. .
