[ete] speak now, or forever...

Dear ETE contributor,

The Electronic Textual Editing volume is in the hands of the MLA now,
and although you'll see galleys at some point before the final volume
appears, most of what happens now is production work by MLA. The
timeline for the final publication is looking dicey for 2005, but
probably early in 2006 it will appear. Meanwhile, the MLA has agreed
that we can put html versions of the essays up on the TEI web site, so
I am mailing to ask if any authors would object to having their pieces
pre-published in that manner. I will take silence for assent, so you
only need to write to me (at unsworth_at_uiuc.edu) if you prefer not to
have your essay appear on the TEI web site in advance of the book's
publication. In that case, please write me by February 15th: after
that date, we'll put the text up.
