As far as the future successes of any of these books, I would have to say
that White Noise, Neuromancer, and Vineland have the best chances of
surviving. Despite some strange subject matter, they are the most sainstream
of the novels, and let's face it, we live in a society where people don't
seem to go for too much that is out of the ordinary.

I would hope that The Mezzanine might gain some sort of popularity, but I
don't think it will. I found it to be quite an amusing book simply because
of the minutia with which it dealt. Unfortunately, I don't see the majority
of the public finding that as amusing as I did.

Acker - forget about it. It shouldn't have even lasted this long.

I can see Dark Decade garnering a small following within certain literary
circles, but I don't see it going big time.

I think Galatea 2.2 is too hard for anyone without a vast knowledge of
computers (i.e., me) to understand.

Mumbo Jumbo has been around for a while. I think it can stick it out.
